- Purple or dark blue blotches, especially near the edges or corners
- Rainbow coloured stains, usually in a streaky or blob like pattern

- Distorted or shifted colours in one section while the rest of the screen looks normal
- Thin lines forming a border around the damaged patch
- A completely dead, black section that shows no image at all, no matter what's on screen.
How this differs from other display issues:
- Dead pixels are tiny, single point, and stay a fixed size. They don't spread or bleed.
- GPU failure usually shows as screen flickering, artifacts, or crashes across the whole display, often tied to graphics heavy tasks
- A loose or damaged display cable causes flickering, flashing, or a screen that goes black and comes back when you adjust the lid angle

What Causes It?

Straight answer: no.

Once that fluid has leaked or the internal layer has been crushed, there is no procedure, no cleaning kit, no pressing technique, no software fix that restores it.
